Bowen and Children

The first experience of a Bowen treatment should not only be a gentle and relaxing time but also a fun time. Babies and young children are often treated in their parent’s arms on on their lap. All treatments are carried out through light clothing, whilst the parent / guardian remains in the room.

As the Bowen Technique uses a lighter touch than many other therapies, it is a very gentle and relaxing experience for young babies.  It can help with colic, restlessness and unsettled patterns, respiratory problems, sleep and behavioural problems.

There is a wide area where Bowen can benefit children of all ages:

Allergies, ADD, ADHD, autism, asthma, bed-wetting, cerebral palsy, chest infections, clicky hips, colic, constipation, croup, dyspraxia, eczema, glue-ear, growing pains, headaches, muscular-skeletal issues, panic attacks, psoriasis, sinusitis, stress, sleep and behavioural problems.

Benefits may include:

  • healthier children with better concentration
  • improved sleeping patterns
  • enhanced motor skills control & behaviour
  • happier more content children
